Here's how you can get started on Ranger Finance.

Choice of Browser: Install a Solana-compatible wallet like Phantom on your preferred browser (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Edge). For the purpose of this guide, we'll use Phantom on Chrome.
Installation Guide: Visit the Phantom wallet official website and follow the instructions to add the extension to your browser.

Adding SOL: Ensure your Phantom Wallet is funded with SOL to cover transaction fees (gas fees). If you don’t have SOL, purchase it on any major exchange and transfer it to your Phantom wallet address.
Adding Trading Assets:
- Minimum Requirements: You need a minimum of 10 USDC to trade on Ranger Finance.
- Asset Conversion: Convert any assets in your wallet to USDC for use as margin. This can be done within the Phantom wallet or via an aggregator like Jupiter.
- Cross-Collateral Deposits (soon): Refer to our Cross-Collateral Deposits section to check which assets are accepted.

Connecting to Ranger:
- Navigate to Ranger Finance Trading Page.
- On the top right side of the page, click on "Connect Wallet."
- If this is your first time on Ranger, review and agree to the terms of service to proceed.

Trading Without Deposits: Unlike other platforms, Ranger Finance does not require a direct deposit of USDC for trading.
How It Works: USDC and other collateral assets are held in your wallet and are automatically allocated as collateral when you place a trade. This seamless process ensures that you have full control over your funds at all times.
